## Article

The FBI has announced another arrest linked to the ShinyHunters cybercriminal group, which is under investigation for a recent breach of the FBI's job site. FBI Director Kash Patel revealed the arrest of a suspected co-conspirator in a statement released on Friday, emphasizing the agency's ongoing efforts to dismantle the group. The arrest took place in Pennsylvania and involved a Canadian national, although the FBI has not publicly disclosed further details. This development follows the detention of at least two other alleged ShinyHunters members over the past two weeks. The group gained unauthorized access to the FBIjobs.gov domain, defaced it, and exfiltrated sensitive information, affecting nearly every FBI employee and numerous local police officers. One of the arrested individuals, Saif al-Din Khader, was apprehended in Jordan on September 28 and is reportedly cooperating with law enforcement. The FBI and Dutch National Police also arrested Pepijn van der Stap, another alleged member. The breach was traced back to a contractor at Accenture who failed to patch a vulnerability in Oracle software, leading to the contractor's dismissal. ShinyHunters had previously claimed responsibility for the attack but stated they had no intention of releasing the stolen data. The FBI has since dismantled much of the group's infrastructure, prompting ShinyHunters to announce their departure from Telegram, citing the arrests of several members.
