Ubiquiti has announced the successful patching of 22 vulnerabilities within its UniFi product line, including three that were rated with the maximum severity score of 10 according to the Common Vulnerability Scoring System. These critical flaws allowed potential attackers to gain unauthorized privileges on affected devices or applications. The vulnerabilities mainly stemmed from improper access control, which was a common issue among seven of the identified flaws. Other vulnerabilities could enable attackers to bypass authentication or execute arbitrary commands, posing significant risks to users. Ubiquiti released a security bulletin detailing these vulnerabilities and provided recommended mitigations. However, the company did not provide additional commentary or confirm if any of these vulnerabilities had been exploited prior to the patches. This announcement marks the second instance this year where the company has disclosed multiple critical vulnerabilities, highlighting the importance of applying these patches promptly to secure affected systems.
